How to Choose the Right Belt For Your Body Type
Belts that sit at your natural waist are a fabulous accessory when you choose the right one to flatter your body. The skinny belt, which has a thickness of less than one inch, is great for the short waisted. The shorter the torso, the narrower your belt should be. That way it doesn’t dominate your entire mid section.
A medium sized belt, which has a thickness of 1-2 inches works well with all body types, especially women with a short torso who want the look of a wide belt and those with a long torso who want the look of a skinny belt.
The wide belt, shown here on Tori Spelling, has a thickness of more than two inches, is great for long torsos. The skinny belt can look out of place and emphasize your long center while the wide belt is great statement look. Very 50’s glam.
